Keep Heka open
Install and sign in to the Heka Mac app before connecting Chrome.

The connector gives the Heka Mac app precise page structure during a recording. It does not record or upload by itself, and stays dormant until you start recording in Heka.

The connector wakes for that recording and pauses when Heka stops.
What the connector shares
While a Heka recording is active, the connector sends the current page URL and title, visible DOM text, field semantics and geometry, and browser interactions to the local Heka app. Password values are never read. Heka processes sensitive information on this Mac before an eligible recording is uploaded.
